True Ghost StoriesSense of a presenceWhilst visiting a friend at her new flat in Essex in April, I had 'one of my feelings' as I entered the hallway - but it didn't continue when she showed me round the rest of the flat. I didn't mention it to my friend as she lives on her own and I didn't want to scare her. Later that night, after several glasses of wine, she admitted that she felt there was someone watching her from her hallway. I was relieved that she had sensed it too and I suddenly got a really clear vision of the person standing there. I described the lady, even down to the fact that she had a cat, whilst my friend sat there with her mouth open. When I'd finished I expected her to laugh at me but she got quite upset and said I'd just described her Nan in exact detail. I'd even got a sense of the lady's feelings - which my friend confirmed were due to sad circumstances in her life. I felt she was just watching her grand-daughter, keeping an eye on her, even though my friend felt it wasn't always needed. I wasn't aware of her Nan before, as she had only ever mentioned a grandfather on her mother's side as there was a family disagreement surrounding her father's parents. A few days later we were talking on the phone and my friend told me she feels a lot happier about the 'being watched' feeling now and has noticed that the feeling has now spread into other rooms in her house. I, meanwhile, still feel shocked about all this and a little frightened! Amanda from Cambridge © Copyright
